Yes, I support Clintel’s intervention in the “Climate Case of the Century” pending before the Court of Appeal in The Hague, The Netherlands.

I do not in any way feel adequately represented by Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth Netherlands). Like Clintel, I support science-based policy-making, and agree that the science was not adequately represented before the court in first instance. Environmental protection requires a sound understanding of all relevant science, as well as respect for citizens’ rights, democracy and the rule of law. The ruling of the court in first instance may have potentially adverse consequences for science, environmental protection, the economy, and democracy.

I declare that I fully support Clintel’s efforts to represent the science and the concept of balanced environmental protection in this case.
